Greatest game I ever saw !!

Yesterday my friends and I witnessed the greatest game in the history of Beaver Stadium.  Any high school recruit who was there and doesn't choose Penn State to play their college ball should have their head examined.  107,000 fans were totally insane ...  it really is the greatest show on earth.

Even some diehard Michigan fans sitting around said The Big House is nothing compared to Beaver Stadium.

I found this article writtten by a Michigan student, who summed up the experience.  Absolutely amazing. http://maizeandgoblue.com/2013/10/15/same-game-different-culture-penn-state/

You would never know PSU is school under NCAA sanctions.

Return to Happy Valley !!

Headed to Happy Valley for the Penn State Opener today vs. Eastern Michigan.  It wasn't much of a game as PSU routed them.  However it did leave us the opportunity to sight see around State College.  Here we are the Lion Shrine.  PSU really is the greatest place on earth !!

Rehobeth Beach, DE - 2013

Summer vacation took us away from the Jersey shore and the annoying beach tags this year.  We headed to Rehobeth Beach in DE.   I would highly recommend this is a vacation destination.  Great beaches, and lots of other activities.  Will definitely return.

Summer at Newton Lake

This is what living at Newton Lake is all about.  Yep ... we suffer through some pretty brutal weather during the winter months, but that is all forgotten as soon as we can hit the lake in the summer.  I wouldn't trade living here for anything !!

Cold Steel Sport Fishing - Lake Ontario - 2013

Took our annual trip to Lake Ontario, and again we headed out with Capt. Tom Burke and Andy Bliss.  Those are two guys who really know how to fill a boat with fish.  I would highly recommend anyone looking for a Lake Ontario fishing charter to contact Cold Steel.

Final Ski Day for 2013

One advantage to this never ending winter is that ski conditions are still great even though it's the end of March.  Elk Mountain decided to close today so Annie, Emily and I went out for final day on the slopes.  It's amazing to me how much these girls have improved over the course of the year.

Especially Emily considering where she started earlier in the season.

Can't get enough !

This is the ski season that won't end.  Had another great day with the girls at Elk Mountain. While it was somewhat crowded today, we still had a blast. Living so close to Elk is really a blessing.

Here is a short video clip of the girls from today.  Amazing to see how much better Emily is skiing since her first trip up the mountain this year.

I love living at the Lake :)

Even in the winter living at Newton Lake is a awesome. Spent the day with the girls and our friends and had a great time skating, and having a few beers.   Here is a great video of the day taken by Jim Depoti.

Took a day off and Emily and I went skiing.  Such a great day ... weather was perfect, snow was perfect.  Came home exhausted, as it should be :)

Back to Elk Mountain !

Took the day off and went skiing with Annie & Emily who were off school for the day.  It's amazing to see the improvement in their skiing each time we go out.  Today was Emily's first trip to the top of Elk Mountain, as her confidence is finally starting to catch up to her ability.

Tonight's Lakeland ski club meant many of their friends joined them for night skiing which the girl's loved. Living so close to Elk, I'm glad the girls enjoying being on skis.
