Maggie was caught red handed tearing apart the Christmas Decorations ! She has been a handful this year, and doesn't really care about the naughty or nice list yet. Maybe we will have better luck next year.
After a long and exhausting search in frigid temperatures. Annie and Emily picked out and decorated our 2008 Christmas Tree ... I think they did a great job !
After lots of cursing ... the Christmas lights were put up ... need to thaw myself out for a few days now. Every year I ask myself ... why haven't I moved to Florida yet ?
We need to stop giving idiots like Plaxico Burress money. Is there really a need to carry thousands of dollars and to wear hundreds of thousands worth of jewelry out to go to a club. Who are you trying to impress ? You are already an NFL player on a world championship team. If that doesn't impress people ... do you really think the $$ and jewelry will? Total Jackass !
Barack Obama supporters were partying well into the night for his hard fought victory. Historic in that he will become our nations first African-American President however I think most people are just happy that it signifies the beginning of the end of George W. Bush's presidency.
At least with me ... I was OK with either McCain or Obama ... either way the country wins.
Hopefully this nasty red state, blue state, liberal, conservative crap ends. Its time we all become Americans.
Just another beautiful fall day here at Newton Lake. Of course this is the official beginning to the long winters we have here in Northeast PA. Spoke to my neighbors yesterday, and we said our farewells ... we will see them again in April or May ... whenever our hibernation ends.
Made our annual trek to the Pumpkin Patch, but it was our first trip with Maggie. All the girls had a great time and mom and dad did too. Click here to see more photos.
Annie worked hard this weekend on her solar system project. Lots of painting, cutting and glueing, but she pulled it off. Mom and dad helped and Emily helped too by keeping Maggie from eating the planets.
The Yanks closed the book tonight on Yankee Stadium. Being a life long Yankees fan it was real enjoyable tribute to the old ballpark. I am really glad I got to take one last trip there this year for the Home Run Derby. That being said ... lets turn the page ... already looking forward to seeing what the "new" Yankee Stadium holds in store.
For the second week in a row ... Newton Lake tailgating has been in full swing. Once again we had great weather, cold beer, football and of course great friends.
Congrats to the Lakeland Jr Chiefs "C" Cheerleaders for an impressive showing at the ACCFL Cheerleading Competition. Here is Elisa, Annie and Molly showing off the hardware !
A great start to the NFL season last night ... the Giants beat up on the Redskins. Newton Lake tailgating was mid-season form. It was a great night, perfect weather, cold beer and football.
Here is a photograph highlighting a painting by Linda Drennan of Newton Lake on the newly landscaped outlet. This really is a beautiful addition to the lake.
Headed to the big ball park in the Bronx yesterday with Ed and Paul Sokoloski and Jeff Meta to catch the 2008 Home Run Derby. Had awesome seats .... check out the photos here. http://picasaweb.google.com/KeithYurgosky/2008HomeRunDerby
Here we are in a photo from Getty Images in the background behind David Ortiz and Carlos Zambrano.
Crappy weather this weekend ... in between the raindrops, I spent time doing work around the house . I did manage to get this wall built. Now if I could just figure out what to plant here. Anyone have suggestions ... let me know?
Well here they are ... our 2008 Besten's Auto Body Tee Ball team. I think they are ready to take on the Yankees. This is what it's all about ... kids having fun !
